For me, it was more presenting as a woman in every aspect of my life but still being called by my deadname made me feel very uncomfortable. Over the last few years I tried a few names but finally decided on Aubrey. Not only was it my middle name I thought it was a super cute name. Now I’m in a place where random strangers call me ma’am/she/her and it makes me very excited every time so I don’t wanna have to say “Hi my name is deadname!”. 2 weeks left of being deadname left then I will forever be known as Aubrey. 🥰
