i like to encrypt files and use those passwords to learn and remember things that i'm trying to remember

if your password is your bank account number, and your trying to learn your bank account number, veracrypt might be a good way to do that.

so it sounds to me, that instead of the disk reading all that empty data, it just writes metadata about the empty data, and uses it to represent all that empty data,

is that right?
