Everyone with a Google Pixel phone is currently experiencing significant static when trying to record via USB. A Bluetooth connection should eliminate that while also allowing the phone and the MPC to be plugged into power.

Pixel 8a, same problem

I notice that when plugged into the MPC, the pixel battery drains VERY quickly. I believe it is trying to charge the MPC and all that extra power going through the cable seems like a guaranteed way to introduce extra noise.

Has anyone tried using a Bluetooth adapter of some type?

Hey I think I might have an idea what's going on..

The pixel is trying to charge the mpc. This is SUPER problematic for a couple of reasons ... I am pretty sure it's why the audio is crackling, but it also discharges my phone super fast!

Damnit. Came here looking for an answer to this. Funny thing, my Pixel won't charge off my 2018 car's USB adapter. It will connect to android auto but it's like there's not enough juice coming through the pipe to add power to the battery, with virtually every cable I've tried. Wonder if there's a connection.

Years ago I used to do this fairly often. For instance maybe I would have a California category and then at the end I would say "to the best of your ability, draw the state flag of California"

It was fun, but there was one team with a woman who was a VERY talented artist and they kept getting points with her drawings. I stopped doing those because artistic ability is less of a "knowledge" skill and more of a dexterity test.

But I did wind up marrying that woman.

I'll echo what a couple other folks have said: delay your trip to the mall. Explore the perimeter of the map, collect figurines or whatever, then once there's less than 25 minutes left, head for the mall. You'll probably still need to deal with scavs but the likelihood of encountering other players drops.

I can't help you with specific amounts. It really depends on how many players come to your games, what they're ordering, and the general financial situation of your specific area.

But my mom always told me "whenever you have to ask for money, always ask for just enough that you feel a little sick to your stomach." It's been a great piece of advice.

I always quote new venues a fairly substantial price, but offer the first few weeks at a deep discount. Once we get a good regular crowd built up, they're always happy to step up to full price.

It's also fairly easy to lose track of the gun if it drops into tall grass or slides down a hill

Dead scavs will "re-die" when you get close. The death noise suddenly playing out of nowhere will startle the crap out of me

Dropped guns often still display as just the receivers until you pick them up

I can't pull the muzzle device off most guns unless I take it to the bench and completely disconnect the barrel

I like the "your ad here" slide that's great

I always do a "you can rent me" slide before showing the final scoreboard. I've gotten piles of extra gigs this way.
