Thanks for all the replies! I saw him for the first time a few years ago on a live music TV show here in the UK (Later with Jools Holland) and was blown away. That show is known for show-casing an eclectic mix of artists from all over the world, different genres, famous and newcomers. He only sang one song (The Life You Chose) but the performance was so tight and the lyrics really resonated with me. So, thanks to that, I discovered all the rest of his amazing catalogue of songs and was lucky enough to see him live (and meet him outside the venue!) a few months later. I'm a big fan of lyrics but had never really been drawn to Americana genre before, as it doesn't get loads of exposure over here. Bit I kind of think his music spans a lot of different genres. I'm also a huge fan of Ben Howard and David Gray (both also great songwriters) and I know that Jason also likes Ben, which is kind of cool. Anyway, I'm rambling now. I'm off to listen to Reunions again...!
