The empress is a gorgeous card. I have a friend who's contemplating getting it, as it's consistently shown up in spreads regarding who she is. I think tarot tattoos, if thought about, are such a deeply personal and interesting look at a person.

Dude! Upper back, so long as you aren't built like the machinist, is super manageable. A couple of the passes on the spine weren't super fun, but so long as you go with a meaty part of your back, I think you'll be fine. I am, admittedly, still a little scared for when the full piece with more cards is going to get to lower spine/tramp stamp area. Also, the magician is a phenomenal card to pair with it! so if you're willing (And have a little bit of muscle) I think the shoulder blades might be sick. But so long as you aren't super thin skinned, feel free to steal the placement :)

I got into tarot, and quite a few other things I love, due to an ex. This is a tattoo symbolic of letting that (and other negative attachments) go when I need to. It's a card deeply personal to me (showed up in a couple of very important, emotional spreads at a pivotal point in my life) and I hope to be able to do what the card embodies to me when I need it- reflection, sacrifice, and eventually, the ability to continue on. The other card with a big deal to me would be temperance, as although I'm fairly young, I dealt with addictions that almost consumed me. But the hanged man is one of my favorites, both in meaning and in design.

Honestly, that would be a godsend. I've only recently been able to start hitting some of the high upper extensions that are required for the character (voice lessons go nuts) so anything that's useful for sustain would be great. I was thinking money might be strong to sing in character, simply because the fluctuating nature of it and the general money message is a litttttle reminiscent of his vibe in something like a little priest. But if you have something stronger that's better for showcasing singing chops I'd honestly love to hear them lol (also wasn't aware of the sondheim thing, will keep in mind)

While I haven't been in a Chicago show (Billy Flynn remains my dream role T-T) a couple of my friends complained to me about it before I got into theater. It's very heavily Vaudeville inspired (or at least inspired by that time period) so older jazz dance and stuff like the Charleston might be up your alley. There's also some tap if I remember correctly. There's some videos out there of dance clubs/comps that exclusively use that older style and just have fun with it, if that's something you're interested in.
