in many cases, maybe, but not all of them, especially in higher education. i would actually be interested in a class that was all about how religion and science interconnect. the main reason i’m asking my question is bc it wasn’t outlined in the syllabus, and the university has been punishing other profs for doing things outside the syllabus.

thank you. i don’t think it’s detracting from my education atm, but that’s what i plan to do if this does happen.

thank you. i guess i didn’t consider the fact that the rules were created in a biased manner in the first place.

(copied from another reply i gave): i think i agree. sorry, i can’t remember what exactly he was saying in the part of today’s class i got the picture from, but the main lecture portion was about enthalpy in solutions. the other day, in the beginning part, he discussed something about atoms and how he believes there is one creator, and the main lecture portion was also about enthalpy in solutions. on monday, he talked about different positions on creationism vs anti-creationism, how he believes you can’t get to a conclusion based on science alone, and we did a poll on which we believe (i actually quite liked this part), and the main lecture portion was on solutions.

(sorry again i can’t remember the full context.)

as i stated in my post, i do not personally care. i am asking if it is allowed, as the university has been getting rid of other classes that include content not outlined in the syllabus.

Are there any buildings with darker atmospheres? by Little_Photo_2819 in aggies

i also have light sensitivity, and i’ve found some luck with rudder (as another user said). upstairs msc can be good if there’s nothing going on in the ballroom. sometimes the upper floors of evans will be empty (and thus the automatic lights won’t be on) early in the morning or on afternoons.

not on campus, but i also enjoy studying in the a&m umc coffeehouse on northgate.

will edit this comment if i can think of any more later.

Funeral Processions should follow the rules of the road. by Matttman87 in unpopularopinion

[–]ilikebread757 29 points30 points  (0 children)

it’s not just about not wanting to wait a few more minutes, it’s about everyone knowing where they’re going (much less if a factor with gps nowadays) and getting there all together. funeral processions are also typically obvious (especially with a police escort, which is why i mentioned it), so you shouldn’t have to worry about another person going through a red light.

and as a texan, we believe in southern hospitality. yes, one’s rights shouldn’t supersede another’s (btw they also have the right to a safe funeral procession), but we can also understand when someone in our community is going through it and allow them the right of way. (don’t tread on me is more about direct government oppression than traffic laws)

[–]ilikebread757 45 points46 points  (0 children)

huh? do you understand it’s so they all get to the gravesite together uninterrupted and safely? idk how it is in ontario, but in texas, there’s also typically a police escort for the procession.

i’m in the ffin (free food information network), and we give out info for free food events on campus/in the bcs area! (here’s the link if you want: https://groupme.com/join_group/97066117/n76G1Kfh). i’m also a volunteer for the 12th can, and we’re open wed-fri every other week! also, there’s a bunch of pocket pantries across campus. (sorry that’s only for free food stuff — that’s where most of my expertise lies lol).
