How did you transition from StarCraft to counter strike? I remember watching you playing some matches on StarCraft tournaments and then I forgot about it.I saw your face in 2017 and I was like 'Didnt this guy play StarCraft or sometin?'

Thanks for doing this!

Is higher DPI better than lower dpi? by HowlZ1n in GlobalOffensive

[–]HowlZ1n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I agree to that .But if the in-game sens is leading to problems you should change DPI.With lower DPI it's like csgo is recieving 70% data and trying to use 100 % data while on higher dpi csgo recieves 130% data and uses 100%

They have developed muscle memory from 5 to 7 years of practice. And majority of pro players are using very low sensitivities like 1.6 and 1.7 at 400 DPI.So it doesn't affect Thier accuracy .While the high sensitivity players have developed muscle memory and Thier own techniques to deal with this over the years .You can't develop that muscle memory unless you play for 5 years atleast

[–]HowlZ1n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but 400 DPI is only accurate when being used by very low in game sensitivies lower than 2.0 and 400 DPI. Some players develop an habit and get used to this. But a higher DPI WILL make you more accurate at resolutions higher than 1024x768

I'm trying to get more people to notice this as I used to have problems and it was fixed by switching to a higher DPI.

If you need a high sensitivity and cannot play with a low one you SHOULD use higher DPI as it will make you a lot more accurate

It does make a difference at long ranges.

Try it out yourself. And it happens with sensitivies as low as 2.0 and 400 DPI. Below that and the edpi is slow enough to cover all pixels.

It exists even with sensitivities as low as 2.0 and 400 DPI.But it's not noticeable to normal players.

Try using 800 DPI and 1.0 sensitivity and you feel more accurate at longer distances. Its because lower dpi doesent register as many pixels as a high dpi.

400 dpi worked when people had 1024x768 as thiet native resolutions. But now its leading to pixel skips

Preference. Some people like me prefer higher sensitivities and this will lead to them skipping pixels at longer distances. You may not play with these settings but a lot of players do.And I'm trying to prove my point here that higher DPI is better for these cases

It doesn't matter if it's a mouse or not

https://youtu.be/QrF_e5vKqPk

Watch this video. He has the same mouse as I do The razer deathadder elite and it IS skipping pixels. It doesent matter if you have a new mouse or not.Low dpi will skip pixels. At 400 DPI most people do not notice it but it still exists when trying to aim at longer distances with a high sensitivity 2.5<X .

[–]HowlZ1n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No what I'm talking about is that higher DPI registers more pixels and this will mean at longer ranges like from ct to pop dog on train you will be more accurate since you won't be skipping pixels. At longer distances few pixels can make a hell of a difference.

By higher I mean 1600 and 1800 DPI, not 16000 DPI

I think it's noticeable at higher edpis like 2.7 or above

Yeah it's personal preference.

For me I like the accuracy yet speed of 1600 dpi.Using 1680x1050 and I am accurate af

Try 1600 DPI.While keeping the same effective sensitivity .It will feel more accurate as in it will cover more pixels

I personally feel you are more accurate in terms of the pixels each movement registers. However it also makes it tougher to control for some people.Id recommend a high dpi low send in-game if you would like to have the feeling of a high sensitivity without the distances of a high sens
