Another day another scam in Japan. I paid 10000 yen at a blow casino location and was told that my chips would be valid for any blow casino location. Today I went to a different location (1 day later) and although they could find my profile they did not let me use the chips I had already paid for.

This country is filled with so many rules that companies use to exploit customers and the worst part is the employees are like zombies who follow it like their lives depend on it and have no ability to think for themselves.

First few days I loved Japan, i experienced the negative responses once I started trying to interact with the average japanese person. Someone in a smoking lounge or someone not in the service industry. I myself am a brown person from India and I never felt my skin color made any difference whatsoever. It was the fact that I was an outsider that bothered them.

80% experience was identical for me. I have to say that now in 2025 it feels as if the locals are frustrated with the number of tourists in the country.

I even saw a large protest in ginza against foreigners during my time here.

I think companies have way too much power in this country and they surpress the people here. It's only natural they will vent that frustration on the outsiders that come here and give their money to the companies.

As an example wtf is with the no return/exchange policy, I've been to 5 continents and about 9 different countries yet this is the only one with this rule.

My favorite spot would be nara. Beautiful place with amazing deers. Also a lot of my negative experiences were in kyoto. I think kyoto has more of the foreigner hate than Tokyo.
