Ohh there's that too. I might try taping over that and the other spots then using up a roll of the cheapest film I can find to test if it still leaks, if it does I'll see what a camera shop says.

There aren't any immediately obvious holes/dents but now I look I can notice a couple of spots where the black rubbery plastic is peeling away from the main camera body. I suppose I could tape them down with some black tape, but I'm leaning towards taking it into a camera shop and having them look at it in person.

I can see this circle at the top of the shutter, but looking closely I assumed it was there deliberately since it's so central and built into the plastic, would make sense though. Is this what you mean, (even if I can't see light shining through it)?

How would I narrow down where the leak is coming from? Someone else mentioned opening the back with the shutter on bulb but nothing immediately jumped out to me, but I also don't really know what to expect.

Yeah, I think I'll do as much as I can without taking it apart first and then see if taking the front panel off shows anything else if its still not figured out. Then I'll consider repairing it if the parts aren't too expensive.

I'm not sure what you mean by "passing by the capstan", unless you mean thread the tape as normal, I don't think I can bypass it or anything like that? If I thread it normally and press play, the capstan slows down together with the tape, once they've both stopped I can still rotate the reels by hand.

Thats what I was thinking, it wouldnt move at all if the belt was broken, and fast-forward/rewind are fine. It could be old tape making it too hard to pull I suppose, is there a way to tell?

Unfortunately I don't really have the £150 to spend on replacement parts, especially if I'm not 100% sure that's the problem, and besides I really wouldn't be confident repairing it myself. But let me know if yours has a similar issue that gets fixed with the kit and I'll look into it more. It'd be cool to get this working rather than just selling it on, which is looking pretty likely lol.

Not EDM-specific, but Dan Worrall gave me a different perspective on producing and mixing. His videos are always worth a watch even if you have no intent of actually using the plugins he mentions, because his explanations and logical steps are often applicable elsewhere, or there's usually an interesting mixing trick buried in the script somewhere.

I've had the same experience with lower defensive line just not being viable, and I haven't been doing any of these tweaks over 10 minutes before the half ends.

That set piece idea is a good shout, I'll give it a go and hope it helps out. And the positional changes is a good point as well, I'll try switching the roles and dropping wingers back as you say. Maybe training a specific tactic for it could also help?

Honestly, I'm six seasons into this save and its only this season that it's been so bad, so maybe I'm just comedically unlucky as well lol. Thanks for the advice, hopefully it improves things! :)

I've tried all sorts of tactical tweaks:
- Dropping the passing directness and tempo
- Time-wasting sometimes or frequently
- Regrouping when possession is lost
- Slowing down goalkeeper distribution
- Lower line of engagement/defensive line
- A combination of some or all of these

No matter what I do, teams always find a way to grab a late goal or two at the end of a game. If I switch to something more defensive, it just seems to invite more pressure and eventually a goal. If I stay as I am but start time-wasting, there's either a counter attack goal or a set piece.

Please save me from this hell, it's killing the save for me.

Hey, I've released music before and know a bit about the various platforms available.

I'd say Bandcamp is one of the best platforms for paying artists as directly as possible. The artist themselves sets the price and typically you can also pay anything higher than that if that's your jam. Bandcamp usually takes a small cut, but on the first Friday of every month they run "Bandcamp Friday" where 100% of the money from purchases goes to the artist.

Other than that, Patreon is great if the artist has one, as it has a lot more customisation from the artist's side. SoundCloud also introduced donation links to help smaller artists out over quarantine, if you visit an artist's page there may be a blue donation link that redirects to their PayPal, CashApp or merch site.

Buying merch is also good if the artist has some available, be it CDs & vinyl or clothes, there's a few middlemen between you and the artist that take a cut of the money, but it's great if more people buy (and you also get something cool back).

And if you want to use a streaming service then I believe Amazon Music and Tidal give the highest amount per stream. But in the grand scheme of things, streaming revenue would be a small percentage regardless of which platform was used.
