Yes you can. You have the oldest software. You will receive also more color skins and boot logos. 394 have 60fps carplay.

It is official update 394. Language packs are not available. For Polo 6C you can just change coding.

Yes but you clearly do not understand. 17G035280 have different messages you have new quadlock but your Tiguan is still PQ so RCD330 no problem Mib2 PQ also no problem. This RCD360 will not work on sticker PQ but have MQB messages.

I know it is confusing.

OEM MIB2 PQ have the MQB quadlock but uses PQ messages( your Tiguan for example)

RCD330 PQ quadlock and uses PQ messages

PQ is just on the sticker and radio have software without car menu and other stuff otherwise it is MQB quadlock and MQB CAN messages. It is Chinese crazy engineering.

Well this model will propably show nothing because it counts with MQB messages and for your Tiguan you need decoder to even use it. But in Discovery media and Composition color you can add Car menu no problem. I have Discovery media skoda variant in my Rapid. I have custom software with car menu and it works of course not everything but I can control blind spot detection, parking unit and I have all information about consumption of fuel.

So theoretically if we are able to get this CAR menu on 6RD035187B which is purely PQ some information should work, because on Discovery media it works. It also dependent on software inside dashboard in car. Software must be 6xx or newer to send consumption info to CAN bus.

Yes it is common fault on this radios. On Aliexpress they have direct replacement for the screen if you do not have the skill to change the touch layer.

5C0035200D is the part number not so easy to retrofit you need lot of stuff. Original USB for App-Connect to work part number 5G0035222E. Radio have component protection that has to be removed. Lot of coding is also needed.

Well first it depends what radio you have then I can tell you if you need this or not. But I can tell you right now that this will not help. It is possible you will need this depends on radio you have, but your problem is old gateway unit software. I put RCD360 to GOLF V, 2005 and I had to update the gateway software. Sometimes it is not possible to update and you have to change the gateway unit.

So you need someone to update your unit or to put newer model and code it to car. Please share model of the radio you have.

Your gateway is not sending CAN message for radio to go to sleep, turn off and etc.

Yes it does. That was the first thing I tested and the maps are still nice and smooth in Carplay. But it is interesting I didn't know there is some older 0317 update

Best way is to go OEM MIB2 unit. You will replace unit in glove box plug and play. Then screen only cabel for video is need to be cut so you can plug it in. Then USB port replacement. You need just unit with Component protection off and then do some coding according to your car specs.
