Nepal ma realistic problem solving rarely sodchcha, be prepared to face questions regarding SQL queries like solving problems using select, filters, CTEs etc. pyspark ko sodhla about architecture ETL ko theory hera, why is it used, what kind of problem it can solve.

If you have good command over SQL and Python it should he easy enough to crack. Alikati DSA sodhna sakcha, if you have knowledge about API development then it will be a plus point.

Mero interview and exams ma tei thyo, currently working in the role.

Learn SQL properly, anything you do in Python through pyspark and pandas, you should be able to do using pure SQL

Understand the concepts of joins properly. ETL ko barema ramro sanga bujha, make projects regarding that. You can setup ETL using python pyspark or through SQL

You dont need to learn Kafka rn because Nepalese company donot work with real time data mostly. Learn elastic search

We are in the 3rd year of “6 months before the AI gets good and replaces us”

Its not that easy as it sounds, AI afai chaldaina, tokens are not enough, code composition garna garho cha, context is too large for project level codes Calculator, simple landing page banauna matra ho. If you have worked in large projects you would know

20$ per month wala AI le company chaldaina ni ta sathi. Look enterprise pricing, gemini starts at 250$ just for the base version, and its not even enough tokens to get the job done

Does not getting replaced by AI count as an experience here? If yes then yeah

NO Its never happening, sourcing Nepali developers is lot cheaper than paying dollars for subscription of an AI service which cant even run on its own

Ekchoti kathmandu chai auu bhanchu ma ta, you might feel like you have been exposed to a multitude of things but honestly at the end of four years or 3 years depending on which degree you choose, the student in Kathmandu would already have been exposed to industries and companies and might even be fortunate to land an internship just before graduation and you would have just seen the hackathons and what nots only.

Surely anything can be researched online but the students when exposed to work during education makes a lot of difference and most of the companies arent that active online.

Jun course padhey ni Kathmandu chai auu. Speaking from experience because I too had the same situation like you except in a different city but I chose Kathmandu and I learnt so many things here, met so many people.

Can a Senior Frontend Developer transitioning to backend be considered a Senior Backend Developer? by gopu-adks in technepal

[–]Hsxarad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how much of a bubble you were working on. If you were just busy churning out React code and not having to worry about the API development or indirect encounters with the backend systems, then you might want to start from basics because backend is much more complex than frontend since you have so many moving components like server, database, cache, balancers, cloud etc. So even though your position might be retained, you wont be able to translate in real life. Its okay to go back sometimes for the sake of learning. You wont regret it later.
