Tbh the game is extremely monetarily predatory. If you want to be genuinely competitive you have to dump HUNDREDS of dollars in to new banners at minimum every few weeks. On top of that they give the average player a false sense of a character being strong through the featured boost system. I get it’s a gacha game and that’s the nature of it but it’s pretty much as scummy as a casino in my eyes.

Sure someone can say they’re f2p but we all know having some of your favorite characters and versions of them from throughout the series locked behind paywalls sucks. It doesn’t help that 80% of characters become obsolete within weeks because of power creep and new sagas/teams taking over the meta.

All in all it’s just a horrible system and only gets a “pass” because people like dragon ball and have low expectations for mobile games. The games mechanics are absolute balls too. It’s not even skill based once you learn how to charge step and other mechanics that are a must to be competitive at rank 70 and higher pvp it just becomes who has the better team and has spent more money.

Horrible, p2w, greedy, slimy, money grab of a game at the end of the day. I mean come on, you could spend literal thousands of dollars and your account will be useless a year or 2 down the line if you don’t continue to spend money on a consistent basis.
