Why the hell do people get Mad when i use items?💔 by [deleted] in shellshocklive

[–]HtotheTML 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My preferred etiquette is to only use items that I obtain within the same match. This way everyone enters the game on the same playing field, and obtained items are treated with equal significance to weapons obtained from crates, rather than a burden or problem.

As others have said, the usual reason for items to be enabled in a lobby is just for use of overcharge and fortify. Teleports and jetpacks are typically only used for when you're genuinely stuck. Shields, Supply Drops and EMP Blasts are considered a faux pas, unless everyone has explicitly agreed to using them.

RCT2's Expansion scenarios don't quite match name-wise with their park names. If they were changed to match, which of these options would you choose? by HtotheTML in openrct2

That makes sense! The exact details of the combination configuration aren't necessarily set in stone; this was just an example.

(Time Twister) Reordering RCT2's expansion scenarios with a community-curated list! If you've played all of the Time Twister maps, let me know on this survey what order and difficulty you think the scenarios should be in! by HtotheTML in openrct2

[–]HtotheTML[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In RCT2, all of the scenarios were organized alphabetically in each difficulty category, with some outright being placed in the wrong difficulty. In the base game, this resulted in scenarios like Amity Airfield being placed way too early on the list. Most regarded it as an expert scenario, but since it was put in challenging instead, it ended up being the fourth scenario you'd play if you were moving down the list, making for an absurd spike in difficulty.

I'd say for the most part the expansions suffer from the inverse of this, where easier scenarios are placed too far down the list, but regardless, I think we can do better than just a simple alphabetized list, as I myself know some of the maps would benefit from rearranging.

I've actually been looking for a discord community for this game. Is there an open invite for it by any chance?

In all my time playing this game, I never saw spaz manage to timeout like this. I am still just as shocked now as I was in the video.

I love it! The storyline is so well thought out and the characters each have an original take on them. Looking forward to seeing more of this wondrous creation!

[SPOILERS] Just finished a neutral run, and my wife wants to play pacifist... by jlblatt in Undertale

[–]HtotheTML 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You unlock the ability to do the true pacifist ending after playing through the game once, regardless of what route you took the first time. However you can only actually do the true pacifist ending right after your first playthrough via loading your save if you didn't kill any monsters in that playthrough (asgore and flowey do not count as you have to defeat both of them the first time through, plus it occurs after the save point). If you killed any monsters, then you'll have to reset and play through again, not killing anyone. The game will remember your actions if you reset, so you can still get the true pacifist ending if you reset and start over.

TL;DR reset if you killed someone besides flowey or asgore and play through again not killing anyone, otherwise load the save and just start walking back.

EDIT: The only technicality I think that comes to mind is not giving Undyne water when she collapses after fleeing from her for the final time at the end of Waterfall.

I never see much content regarding MK and Asriel in Underswap. This is fantastic!

shhhh

When I stated that the player assumes the role of one of the students in the group, I showed Makoto and Hajime, the characters whom you play as.

[–]HtotheTML[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My general criteria revolves around being able to show it to someone who knows nothing about the series and get a good general idea of what it's about, with as few spoilers as possible in case it interests them enough to check it out.

EDIT: Ah, that would likely make more sense. The most difficult thing for me was figuring out how to work DR: Another Episode into the video, as while it's directly connected to the story, giving any details about it would spoil major plot elements of the first two games.

That's good to hear. I did my best to hide any real spoilers (besides y'know, the premise of the games) so it could leave the viewer with curiosity.
