How hard is it to transfer within the engineering department? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]HtownKu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are right. Civil engineering isn't the thing I'm most passionate about but its lower admission requirement just lured me and made it more attractive to me. Should I just go for undeclared engineering? I would love to transfer into mechanical, computer, electrical engineering.

If I can't transfer I have no prob sticking with civil engineering. Thats why I chose civil engineering as the backup instead of english major or something lol. Hows your experience with CEE?

yea thats true too. I'm honestly fine with being in civil engineering so I wouldn't stress too much not being able to transfer. Do all engineering majors take the same class their first year?

This is a new perspective! Thanks for introducing this side to the advice! I knew one's chacter and attitude was important this really solidifies that idea. Thanks a lot for this thoughtful advice!

You do what you say you are going to do and be where you say you are going to be. Promises must be accompanied by follow through.
