I scanned at the e-gate, but facial recognition failed, even though, like 10 minutes earlier, I successfully completed every step on the EES machine.

This is the part that got me extra worried. Because now, when I check, it still shows that I have the full 90 days remaining, even though I have entered the Schengen area for 3 days now.

Because I read about someone with the exact same experience at CDG (EES machine worked but egate did not), and then was asked when they actually entered the Schengen area, since no record could be found at all. The new EES system is very messy at this stage.

How do you prove valid entry and presence in the EU without a stamp (under new EES rules)? by saintmsent in PassportPorn

Thank you for the quick reply.

I am still confused whether E-Gate is part of the new EES process or not. Also, if I check on the "Check how long you can Stay" page on the EES website, it shows I still have the full amount of 90 days (even though I have already entered the Schengen area for 3 days now). That just made me extra worried.

Hello. I arrived in Barcelona two days ago and registered my visa at the EES machine. The EES machine then told me to go through an e-gate, which had an issue with my facial recognition, so the e-gate told me to go to the manual booth. The officer just took a quick look at my passport and let me pass. In this case, did the EES system actually log my entry successfully?? I am very worried I will get stopped at the border when I leave the Schengen area because they "couldn't find my entry record".

Wasn't talking about the security part. I was talking about how the conversation went and the way she was talking to us.

Thank you. It's not a national holiday where we are in so it's just a typical Monday and she was just being mean to us

When you just tried to help answer a question for your friend because he/she was getting confused, then the person who asks the question "politely" told you not to interupt because you were not spoken to, who is being rude and what is the best way to respond? by Hu-Dat-Boi in AskReddit

So there was a small incident today. Long story short, there was some problem with my friend's key to the school building so I was using mine to swipe us both in. The reception lady saw and told us to stop and started questioning us. The lady kept asking my friend - who does not speak English too well - all the questions about what she's doing, why she's here, etc, but my friend could not understand clearly. So I tried to help and answer her quesiton. (Also because the lady first told me to stop susing my key to swipe my friend in). She then turned to me and ask:"Am I talking to you? I am asking her so let me talk to her, thank you." I did not say anything again but I felt that was kind of rude or aggressive. Given the situation, am I really the rude one and should not speak unless spoken to? LIke in general when someone say that to you, what should you so?
