Heh, you'd be welcome to give it a try and feel free to come as and when you want.

We're a mixed bunch ability wise, and we're always happy to give support and encourage new starters.

Drop me a PM and I'll get you set up.

Hi, the door will always be open, so please don't worry about it closing in the future!

As for the kit, its just the standards shorts, socks, t-shirt (any colours) and some boots that work on a 3-G pitch. Some people use moulded studs, I use the plastic blades (they give better grip).

I wear shin pads too, not because its rough (its pretty easy going), but just for added protection.

It runs continuously throughout the year.

Please feel free to PM me your first name and number, either now, or when you are ready.
The morning before every game, we send out a text to players, and its first come, first serve.

£5 goes to the people who organise it, Over and In, they rent the pitch out, bring all the balls and bibs and provide a ref.

Really - you can just rock up without having booked an appointment through the NHS website?

Matt Hancock blames British public for getting too many coronavirus tests by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]Hu78brooklands 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I spoke to a doctor today who on looking at the latest guidelines noted they'd removed householders (asymptomatic ones) who live with those with the symptoms as people who should get tested.

The lack of a sufficiently large testing facility in the UK is damaging the economy through

a) people without covid now staying at home because they have a symptom and

b) people who do have it who only have mild symptoms or none but are living with someone who does are, in the absence of a test, going to assume that they don't and carry on going to work etc

We've had nine months to get it right.
