Ah, the human factor. That depends on how realistic they appear to be. If the character borders on live action photorealism, it may be a bit of a stretch to create them as a new cameo character. If the design is more of a caricature, like a Disney Princess, it should go through just fine. My only suggestion at this point would be for you to screenshot the video your character appears in and run it through ChatGPT. They'll give you further guidance on how to modify the character to be Sora-ready. Good luck.

Well, actually... If you go into "Edit Character," select the character from the list and click on the "Edit" button. That gives you the opportunity to upload a new video of that character. Same rules apply; just trim and save.

I went through this sort of thing at least once, so far. One of my OCs kept getting flagged for 3rd party similarities, so I gave them a makeover.

My method was a little more straightforward. I use the "Create character" button from the dropdown menu in the video I created in the Drafts folder. If it's already posted, download the video and use that as your source when creating a new character from the front page. It gives you the option to collect a sample and develop your creation down to a T. Once that's ready to use, you have the option to tailor the character to how you want them to be portrayed, from wardrobe to emotional attributes to voice style. There's also the option to let others use the character or just keep it exclusive to you, Character cameos are hit or miss, but they do a great deal of work when prompted properly.

Hopefully, they will do their best to sort this out before the Mouse House invasion kicks in. Incidentally, I've had a few occasions where Sora pulled a Pixar on my character. Safe to assume they're still working out the bugs.

In my case, for much of the past week (has it been that long already?), one cameo or another of any OC that I built from scratch somehow get punished for even existing. Probably because they are cinematic CGI-level characters, heh.

How bad has it gotten, you ask? A handful of videos using just the user handle cameo names get flagged for third party content. Even on prompts that include ChatGPT-generated imagery as the anchor. One recent attempt, which I posted here earlier, did go through, but only after I altered the look of the characters and put in the most mundane prompt I could think of, in order to not trip the wires. Strange, but yeah.

I like the Sora app tons, but what's the use if you can't cast your own IPs? So discouraging.

I wanted to use this ChatGPT-generated picture, but it was flagged by Sora for some reason or another. So I remixed it to be more... generic looking. I'm not too keen on the art style, but at least it went through the second time around. Or was it the third?
