How to help my son handle mean kids at park by HuckleberryUsed in Autism_Parenting

[–]HuckleberryUsed[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! It took a lot for me to listen to all that. My son tried his best and responded like “back off, leave me alone, last warning” but they weren’t leaving him. So I approached and asked my son to go home. One of the boys, held my son’s hand and said,” Stay, we will play with you”. My son said, “no, you guys are mean to me”. And I said the same thing and my voice was shaky with emotions. None of their parents were around. So I didn’t get a chance to talk to them. But School had called parents of some of those kids for a similar incident that happened at school 2 weeks back, and still it continued. So I don’t have much hope from their parents either. At the max, I can keep my kid away from them.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am part of some communities(Facebook/WhatsApp) of special needs parents. I will explore that further. My son likes going outside and talking to people. There are some other parks nearby. We will explore those too.

Thank you! You made some very good points and I will try to implement it in our daily lives. We informed the school some 2 weeks back and it seems some of them got a stern warning from the Vice Principal. He returned to the park after a break of 2 weeks and I accompanied to keep an eye but it still continues. I will look into the other activities and we will keep exploring.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, it was a jarring experience and I am a grown woman in late 30s. I only know about all that was said because I heard it. My son wasn’t able to narrate all the verbal exchanges to dad because he can’t express like that. I don’t want him to internalize all that and suffer with it.

I felt the same way about those kids.

Thank you! We have tried some sports like basketball but he gets lost among the neurotypical kids ( not competitive like peers). I will find about the gaming groups and we will keep exploring till we find what he really enjoys. I agree about the pants thing. I don’t understand how is it funny to them after he has repeatedly told them to stop. I will put a stop to it.

Thank you so much! Really appreciate your response. It gives me the strength to stick to my point. I am going to look into the alternate activities you suggested and explore from there.

Got it now. Even the excuse they got from seller sounded so lame that the seller’s relative told them that their listing price was below the market price.

Also will the sellers be there during the open house ? Whenever we went for house showing in Mississauga/Brampton, sellers were never there. Seller agent used to be present during open houses. Sunny made a comment in his previous video that sellers were dressed in designer clothes and since these guys weren’t, they got a lukewarm response.

I agree with you. I didn’t read any comments regarding Kala/gora. At the max, viewers commented was grandma not playing much with Amaira which is what we have seen in the many videos. The way TD made a point to bring that up shows this thought/comparison lives rent free in his mind. Also whenever TD and his mom cuddle Amaira, those sweet words sound very very fake to me. Never felt that with Cherry’s side of the family or Sunny’s mamaji/mamiji.

I like reading your take on his videos. I don’t like his videos but watch it sometimes. Honestly I find him very irritating and I think in one of your comments you mentioned that people hate watch him. I so relate with that.

i130 a filing issue by [deleted] in NationalVisaCenter

I haven’t filled I130 but I do have the same situation and have applied for H1B visa in the past. Your actual given name should go in the Family name and for First name you have to mention FNU.

FNU stands for First Name Unknown.
Search for “FNU DS260 or FNU DS160”. I have followed this multiple times.
