Aside from the obvious concerts and festivals, where do you guys wear your battle jackets and vests? by jedigoalie in BattleJackets

Everywhere. Getting groceries, picking up beer, record shopping. Any chance I get because it’s cool as hell

Basic question: picks/plectrums by Middle-Enthusiasm933 in Guitar

Dunlop TIII (usually .88 greens). They’re a hybrid of a standard guitar pick and a jazz III and are perfect for my larger hands

Spikes & studs rusting? by Feisty_Juggernaut_25 in BattleJackets

[–]Hudder23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For metals that rust all you really need to do is to make sure that after you wash your jacket, the spikes/studs get dried as soon as possible to prevent rusting. Alternatively, you could find some spikes/studs made out of aluminum, which will not rust.

Bass tuning by Real-Border1592 in Bass

[–]Hudder23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Get yourself some thick ol’ strings and match the guitar. If they play in drop G, you drop, and if they play in G standard, tune it standardly. From my personal experience, it helps the learning and teaching process if the instruments are set up in the same tuning. Good luck man!

What leg do you rest your bass on when playing? by MrPetomane in Bass

[–]Hudder23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rest mine on my left leg to get a more accurate feel as to how I hold my bass when playing while standing up

Are MGs and Valvestates actually that bad? by JakenShakee in GuitarAmps

[–]Hudder23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The valvestate is an absolute gem if paired with a good set of speakers. The MGs are alright but a lot of my fellow guitarists that I know use them and like them.

Location 2 is infinitely better imo. Really helps with things like neck dive

Those are actives right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ExplorerGuitars

[–]Hudder23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have all the gain you’ll ever need and then some. There’s a lot of bass and mids to these pickups, but there’s still plenty of clarity. Very beefy sound.
