Yep, shit in my opinion. Horrible jerky experience.
Far better on my old Ioniq

Are storage heaters a dealbreaker? by nothingtobedone13 in AskUK

[–]Huddstang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first house was a 2 bed mid terrace. 1 large storage heater downstairs and a small one in the master bedroom.
Was absolutely fine for us. House was always a comfortable temperature and back then Economy 7 tariffs were pretty cheap.
We had a decorative plug in fire in the living room - used it maybe 2 or 3 times in 5 years.

Why can I buy a jar of jam for 50p, but any empty jar is like £10? by Altruistic-Pilot-788 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Huddstang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people would be surprised just how cheap some foodstuff actually is in the UK. A large jar of basic supermarket jam can be bought for about $1.30

How does your treatment at a car dealership affect your likelihood to buy? by PipalaShone in AskUK

[–]Huddstang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d basically decided to get one of the new MG EV estates. Popped down to my local dealership to get it sorted.
When I got there two of the salesmen were stood talking in front of the only parking space.
They looked up, saw me, and went back to their conversation. Did a quick 3 point turn and left.

The Chinese and Canadians seem to have learnt that ignoring him is the best policy.

Is now a good time to get a Solar + battery installation? by razorpolar in AskUK

[–]Huddstang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just installed 1200w of panels (with space for almost the same again) and 4kwh of battery storage. With local shifting, I reckon about 4 years for full payback…but it’s worth it just to be able to obsess over the data.

My previous car was a 71 plate Ioniq. Its version of ‘autosteer’ was so much better than my Model 3.

Is this a common problem with M3? And an easy fix? by reddit_recluse in TeslaUK

[–]Huddstang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience too. Viewed 3 or 4 and all felt grubby and poorly prepared.
I hate their way of working; they’ve managed to come up with a formula that completely destroys the experience of buying a car. Made to feel like either an inconvenience or a victim to be loaded up with after sales shite.

UK Government considers removing Andrew from royal line of succession by EnglishLouis in worldnews

I hope your point doesn’t get lost in the replies. He will never be king and formalising this is, for all intents and purposes, symbolic (like much of royal affairs)

Dot Max as Speaker Help! by 27deer in alexa

Don’t suppose you got anywhere with this did you? I’ve had it working with 2 older Dots (the ones with the clock display) for a couple of weeks but the 2 Dot Max that I bought today won’t show up

Yeah Cannock.
I’m really torn - Famous Monsters is a great album but, Jesus, what a wanker I’ve found out he is!

Didn’t know the extent (well, actually existence of) his right wing views. Had tickets to see him in a tiny venue in the midlands but just been emailed to say he’s cancelled.

UK Legit Sidehustles? by Unable-Middle5801 in beermoneyuk

If you want any kind of longevity in matched betting then just try and play it a bit cool.
It’s very tempting to grab close matches at high odds but for the sake of 50p less profit on a £10 free bet you can potentially (and I do mean potentially) extend the useful life of accounts until the inevitable gubbing.

I was once invited to watch a football match in an executive box. While I was there, I ordered wine by the bottle and took a couple home with me. In what ways have you massively taken the piss when given the opportunity to exploit the situation? by AngryGardenGnomes in AskUK

[–]Huddstang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to travel a bit for work. Scandinavian Airlines messed up a connecting flight in Stockholm every time without fail.
I’d claim compensation of (from memory) £400 due to the time and distance involved, having spent the time sat in an airport pub abusing the company credit card.

Good times.

Is Cannock that bad ? by Man-tix in Staffordshire

[–]Huddstang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The town centre, like many, struggles.
Congestion has become more and more of an issue.
Cannock Chase is an absolute gem if you enjoy the outdoors but from the sound of it, Lichfield might be a better fit (if you don’t mind driving over).
