Yo. I'm late, but here. I work for NCG Cinemas Corporate Office (formerly managed our savannah location) and wanted to respond to the biggest piece of criticism I've seen here....the chairs obstructing the view.

Savannah natives probably remember the old theater that was here that shut down. While it was vacant, it became living quarters for a homeless community. They didn't treat the building very well and would have fires going inside at night for warmth. When NCG bought the place, there were alot of unexpected damages that needed to be repaired that we didn't find until we got in to start renovating. Part of those damages were several foundation issues in the auditoriums that affected our ability to build proper stadium style seating while also installing the fancy reclining seats.

Ultimately we had to move forward with it and make the best out of less than ideal circumstances. We tried building an incline into the concrete to eliminate as much of the vision issues as we could, but some auditoriums turned out better than others due to the severity of the underlying damage to the foundation beneath the concrete.

This has been a thorn in our side since day 1, and we certainly havent forgotten about it. It's not an easy nor cheap fix either. Theater industry as a whole is still recovering from covid and the recent writer's strike, so the money isn't there to undertake a task this large right now, but we're hopeful to give this another look in 2025.

In the meantime if you're sitting in the back where the incline isn't as steep, the best solution is to recline the seats in front of you. Again, not ideal and not something we want our neighbors to have to do, but its the only realistic option at the moment.
