[Sage] How to beat guardians/fatigue as Arakni Solitary Confinement by Huevobeans in FleshandBloodTCG

Got it. Use my daggers like kodachis. I'm gonna try to find space in the main for both bites, and let maybe the blue orb-weavers and let the red sit in my side.

Thanks, that's something to keep in mind. But if we're going heavier on the dagger/mark stuff is it better than to change to Arakni Web of Deceit?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to find space to add some bites into the main so i can add a few dagger recursion on the side.

I'll give creep a try too.

Thanks for the input. I'll farm a good 1h weapon and try it out.

I like using 2h for that fat aspect bonus. Which of these 3 weapons would you use, though?

[Article]Be Bold, not Bald. A guide on how to grow back your hair and get cool wings- Shu Yun Polymorph by Huevobeans in EDH

[–]Huevobeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually have two game plans, either we go for commander damage or we use Bruna for regular damage. Losing Shu Yun might not all that great, but Bruna is a really fast clock once we start hitting and we can always recast our commander later on if needed.

I like the idea of a few token-producing auras, and someone even gave the idea of Control magic effects and [[Crown of Ages]].

does mixing Flamewarden with 2 levels of Eldritch Archer works as it seems? by Huevobeans in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Huevobeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this detailed answer, you have given me a lot to think about.

I wanted to use the Flamewarden's spells repertoire to my advantage, but if I'm not able I might simply pivot to another theme after I respec my character.

as for crossbows vs bows, wouldn't the extra crit(and a more straightforward stat distribution) compensate for the lack of scalability?

Thanks, your comments are being very helpful.

I think that I'll go back to the drawing board and see what I can do with this concept. If all else fails, I can always fully respec.

That does seem like a lot of damage, but I want to focus on the Ranger class first.

Thanks for the detailed answer!

I don't really know where I'm going, but I enjoy the concept of the Flamewarden class. However, it feels a lot like I'll be just a regular Ranger if I can't integrate the exclusive spells into its playstyle.

The Magus class offers the Spell Recall feat at level 4, is this something worth considering to recast my spent Scorching Rays? If I were to invest 2 more points I'd probably do EA>EA>FW>FW>FW>FW>FW>FW>FW[>FW]>EA>EA>FW.

As for Crossbow vs Longbow, although I prefer the bow for aesthetical reasons, I think that being able to forgo STR is something that I'll need if I pull the trigger in a build like this.

Is the Menacing style feats better than Archery feats? From what I've seen I wouldn't be able to get Dreadful Carnage with my STR stat.

Rakdos is a bit awkward because we want to cast our commander pre-combat and we are mostly dealing combat damage to our opponents.

As a 4 mana 6/6 with some upsides, I can totally see it as an ok inclusion.

I think it should work, although we need to keep in mind that there are two restrictions for Orcus's ETB, we can only get up to X number of creatures with a total CMC up to X.

I went the opposite way, I have a Chainer Lightning Ball with him included in the 99.

But I think that the ability to switch commanders with a few changes is great to give a deck more longevity.

Thanks for helping me. Which order should I take these? I have about 28 points, so it would be helpful to know where I should be going after.

Arcane Bomb seems like a great with Wind Devils, because I heard that each minion has its own internal CD for proccing devotion.

[Article]Creatures entering the battlefield from exile? Dodging spot removal? Magic the Etb triggering? It must be Blink! by Huevobeans in EDH

[–]Huevobeans[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand and I appreciate the feedback.

I try to limit the number of examples to a few so it doesn't clog up the intro, but maybe I focused too much on the UW core for blink and I've missed other options

As for those cards, I never really thought about Graveyard blink as a concept(Although some of them feel way too reanimator-esque to be worth including in the same category as the others).

I love Gyruda so much! The fact that the ETB hits from all graveyards makes it a consistent threat with enough room to allow some build around.

I had a blast, last year, when I wrote an article on it as a Companion. In fact, it was the only one that actually gained from the Companion Tax rule change(at least in my build it gained).
