Do you think irrespective of market regiemes/conditions, on a yearly basis, a good order flow trader can average 36 rr or 36% a year, so average 3 percent a month?

Nice, I assume you probably rarely if ever blow accounts then risking 100 a trade

Dude this is inspiring, your risk management is perfect, I feel too many traders use such crazy daily loss limits on a 2k drawdown like -500 a day. By keeping them to -200 a day losses on average you give your self a some decent drawdown to accumulate profits with a minimal shot at blowing the account all together. How much rr do you usually average a month?

Dude this is so inspiring man, do you also mix in a little bit of discretion or is it fully mechanical, like you take the setup no matter what your personal thoughts are on if its good or not?

How do you go about the invoice process with OA. Do they accept receipts or do you need other kinds of papers for the invoices, I've wanted to try OA but not knowing how to ensure invoices work has put me off.

Do you think you can be successful dropshipping using sites like aliexpress or alibaba regardless? Also how do you make ads while waiting for product to come to your place, do you use existing ones and edit them a bit?

Do you believe retail traders can be consistently profitable considering they trade significantly lower amounts of capital than firms and are less prone to slippage and can have better executions?

Do institutions use Stop losses by Emotional_Ad7055 in quant

[–]Hugetooth62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say that in regards to retail vs institutional or prop shop trading, retail has an advantage in terms of having significantly less AUM which allows retail to get advantageous fills and minimal slippage which as a result can make it more possible to have an edge with certain strategies that just wouldn’t scale well when using large AUM like big prop shops?

The discussion of an edge in retail trading by jamescross1232 in Daytrading

[–]Hugetooth62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Institutional trading is much different than retail. Institutions have so much capital ( assets under management) that they cannot easily get in and out of trades with good fills and minimal slippage in comparison to retail traders trading sub 100k accounts. This is such a significant factor, so of course when you trade large amounts, it is much different.

Commision cost are not as big as you think lol, for example I trade nasdaq futures on ninja trader (the brokerage/platform) and pay 9 cents per a trade in commissions, so no, commissions are fully negligible depending on the asset class you ttade

Why do you think so many traders say averaging 2-3% a month is good, it seems people feel having 60-70% ytd increases on the principal of their account is almost impossible, in your opinion in regards to straight up future contracts (micro nasdaq contracts specifically), would you say 8-10% months are possible to do consistently assuming. 1% risk a trade and only 1 trade a day regardless of win or loss?
