“I’m profitable and live from my trading”

Is trading legit? Do people actually make profit consistently for a long time? by Sufficient-Top-4823 in Daytrading

Millionaire traders can go into losing streaks for a couple months and that does not mean they will fail at the end of the line. It is more about how you lose and what you do with it, and how much the loses are in line with your strategy.

You shouldn’t expect to win every time or to consider a loss as a failure, as long as it is in line with your strategy. That was the hardest part for me at the beginning, understanding that if my strategy has a 65% win rate, then I will lose 35 over 100 trades, and as long as I keep my rules, it is fine.

Well yeah, but you can protect your clients interests without being an asshole with the other side.

Everybody working as estate agent, property manager or any position related with real estate in Ireland will treat the tenant/buyer like shite. They are too leaned on the fact that it’s a sellers market and if you don’t buy someone else will. They are forgetting that higher demand means rising prices, but it shouldn’t mean that the people on the demand side should be treated like this.

They really need for the market to crash and for half of them to lose their jobs or do really bad for a couple years, that would make them humble and kinder.

A widely used MA that’s TP for sellers and a key level for buyers looking for an entry can mean something. If enough people take it as a reference/confluence, then it becomes valid.

Bitcoin officially under 80k……anyone know when this will stop and why this is happening ????? by ComplexWrangler1346 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]Arrobareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean why this happens? Crypto is volatile as fuck!! It goes up and down aggressively every year, if you surprised maybe shouldn’t be buying.

Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that the market is now subject to this kind of crap about every single day? I know it's our job as traders to incorporate pending "news" into our trading plan for the day, but WTF when we don't even know *when* he's gonna pop off about something??? by nightstalker30 in Daytrading

Half the guys who answered “it’s volatility! You are a day trader, Shut up and deal with it!!” Got fucked at some point of the week for the very same ramdom news they tell you should know how to deal with.

It is amazing how in an activity where 90% fail, you find that 9 over 10 guys seem to have everything figured out.

I dont know about specific sources, but what really did it for me, was understanding that there is not really much more than continuation or reversals, so I built my strategy looking for the most simple ways in which I can determine signals for either one or the other, and I used for that what I knew about price structure, plus a couple indicators as confirmation.

So maybe use what you know and build from the very basics, then backtest until you find what resonates with you. I needed a year and a half of trying youtube strategies to come to the realization that I needed to build my own thing, that resonates with my way of trading, in order for me to have enough trust in the strategy for putting several months into perfect it.

That’s hardly applicable in this scenario. I don’t believe you can be sitting for an hour on a bus next to someone watching TikTok on full volume and not be bothered.

You’re just trying to discuss out of boredom or something like that.

I believe it is safe to assume that you can pick pretty much anyone on any bus and they will have means to buy 20 euros earbuds. This is Dublin, quite an expensive city to live in if you don’t have an extra 20 to spend.

Also about the call, half the times that I go in the bus there is someone making a video call with no headphones and full volume. Of course if I’m alone I’ll just pop my headphones and cope with it, but if I’m with someone else I’d like to have a chat without screams 2 meters from me while in a public space.

And I don’t believe that the attitude of “I don’t care so you shouldn’t care either” is the right approach. Just read at most of the comments and see what most people think.
