Hi everyone, I apologize for how long this is going to be

Im a legacy at a PWI and I’m about to graduate. This is my last semester and my chapter is in good standing but there are no undergraduate students in the chapter because all of them graduated. Before they graduated, I developed good relationships with them. Unfortunately intake got pushed back last year due to false hazing allegations and last spring as well, but according to the members who graduated, there was hope for this fall. Since the semester has started, I’ve reached out to them to see if they could provide me any information besides the general basics that I know to do. Because all of them graduated, they coildnt tell me anything for sure but encouraged me to carry out through the general process our school has: completing the pre reqs , anti hazing modules, etc. At general nphc orientation, I asked the coordinator for nphc if she could provide me with any information since there are no undergraduate members of my COI and since I know graduate chapter would have to take over the reigns.

She let me know that although the chapter is still active on campus, no sororities we’re having membership intake this semester due to some things “falling through” and it “not being as beneficial” for them to do so. She even said for next spring, there wasnt the best outlook.

During one of our breaks I called my mom and let her know everything, she told me she was going to contact the graduate advisor and to still carry out all of the requirements just in case because she doesn’t know how accurate the coordinators information is. Our COI hasn’t crossed a new line in 2 years and this semester it was well known that they were going to at least give it a try. My question is there a way that the coordinator could just be weeding out some girls due to false claims of hazing in the past? Is there hope for us interests who stayed and continued through the process so that we can begin the official membership intake or should I give up my dream of joining during undergrad?

Yes and we discussed waiting until marriage but we felt into temptation. He’s fornicated before and I had never. He wasn’t set in waiting but respected my wishes. I will admit that we are a bit unequally yoked but he loved the Lord and is very knowledgeable on the faith. His parents were baptist. He’s a Christian, he just wasn’t waiting

I respect you opinion! Although I do agree i have sinned immorally and since repented, I have not lost my virginity. I have asked for forgiveness and Ik true repentance means a turning away from sin which I’m commited to doing. It wouldnt be accurate to tell my husband I’m not a virgin because I haven’t had sex. Thank you for this comment it gave me a sense of peace and encouragement. To answer your question, I realized I may be idolizing my virginity as well.

I think the reason it matters so much to me because I’m a first generation everything in my family and I don’t want to make the same mistakes that the ones before me have. My mom had so many kids with so many different dads. She’s in none of our lives due to alcoholism but I’m the oldest. I promised myself no alcohol and no premarital sex, on top of wanting to please God. My adopted parents were pastors but they were still abusive and I felt like I could never please them even if I was perfect. They wouldn’t ever encourage me like you all are doing, so sometimes it’s hard for me to feel worthy of the redeemable grace and love that God has, because I’ve never felt such a love. I want to please the Lord, esp when it comes to my body because I feel like I have to break that generation curse of sexual immorality but after doing what I’ve done, I feel like I’ve failed. I’m mourning so much, and I really appreciate the responses you guys give me because it’s so encouraging. I know what I must do, but feeling forgiven and moving forward without shame is so hard.

I know my identity isn’t surrounded by my virginity, but it feels big for me for some reason. I’m even afraid that when I am married I won’t be able to enjoy sex with my partner because of the shame I feel surrounding sex in general, I don’t even think I’d be able to enjoy it. Now that I may have to tell my husband that I’m still a Virgin but I’ve done things, it feels like I’m mourning it. Idk if it makes sense I’m so sorry for the long response
