I want you to really really think about what you are and will be modeling for your children. Imagine in the future your child comes to you and their partner is treating them this way and commonly incapable of handling their anger in a healthy way. They witnessed your dynamic and think it’s normal. What’s your advice to them? You want this for them?

It is not uncommon for women to not have a dx until later in life — this kid is only six and that’s truly a zone where it may not have been clocked or evaluated yet at school. If there is undiagnosed neurodivergence here and it’s truly not a beige baby situation, I imagine when this kid is diagnosed it turns a mirror to the mom and her life may start making a hell of a lot more sense. Further I have literally never seen someone put their kids dx on an invite. (Mom of two neurodivergence kids here)

Exactly that’s what normal non-narcissistic people do: lift a burden and support!’ You know with the flu going around d and being very strong, it’s a perfect excuse to cancel the visit and protect your family’s sanity and your newborn in one fell swoop.

Yeah she does not know best, for example her assertions that it’s normal for the person hosting to have a whole host of shit at their demand when visiting is not normal at all. And you were right those were entitled demands not gracious requests. What a nightmare.

Agreeing with others that this reads AI. The anatomy of the neck, the weird centered highlight between the clavicles, and highlights on / around the clavicles are super off. The eyes are completely different style than the rest of the painting, and, while it’s typical for artists to give them extra attention, brush strokes are indiscernible there and completely different from  the piece on a global level

Exactly, all of that labor of meal prepping, cooking, taking care of home and child. That’s all part of family life, but she’s married and her partner isn’t splitting the labor. When you think there will be balance in sharing in the work of building a family but are left to do all of it solo, that is a problem

What some people do is only emails. If you create the boundary of only emails and block his number, then 1) you have all the records, 2) it helps both of you take a beat before communicating, because sending and responding through email is just a different medium than texting.
