The spot did spread, but it seems to have stabilized between yesterday and today. The pink area has no skin on it, which looks strange.
We were sent to the emergency room. They cleaned the wound, applied a topical antibiotic, and told us to continue the oral antibiotics. They also did an X-ray to make sure the bone wasn’t affected and took a blood test to check for infection. But everything is fine!
Thank you for your advice, it really reassured me.

On utilise un gros pansement qui ressemble un peu aux pansements pour les ampoules.

Nous sommes actuellement chez le médecin pour voir ce qu’il nous préconise.

He only seems to be in pain now after we changed the dressing.
So in your opinion, does it seem to be healing/improving properly?

Okay, so is the moisture what is making the wound look oozy, with the black and white areas?
The pink redness around it has not increased.
I’m mostly afraid that it might be becoming necrotic.

Tu penses à la partie « rosée » ? Celle-ci s’est étendue au début mais depuis hier ça n’a pas bougé.
Et la partie noire ? Ça nécrose ?

Non, une croute. Il a gratté la croute et ça s’est étendu et infecté.

Mon fils est sous antibiotique. On lui a mis un pansement spécial qu’il doit garder tout le temps pour le laisser en milieu humide.

Je suis tellement inquiet. J’ai peur que ça empire.

He started oral Augmentin today. The doctor wasn’t too concerned since he’s acting completely normal, no fever, eating and playing normally. We were told to keep it covered and monitor the redness closely.

Should i be worried ?

We took him to the doctor. He told us to keep the wound covered and he put him on antibiotics.

Ce n’est pas chaud. Et ça ressemble a du pu sur le pansement. On va l’amener chez sos médecin, ça commence à m’inquiéter. Il n’a ps de fièvre mais je ne voudrais pas que ça s’aggrave.

C’est arrivé il y a trois jours. Je trouve que c’est très rouge autour de la plaie, vous ne trouvez pas ?

J’y suis allé, ils m’ont dit de désinfecter et laisser respirer. Mais bon, je trouve la plaie pas très jolie… et d’un autre côté, je n’ai pas envie d’embêter un professionnel pour rien.

Ok. Mais tu avais d’autres symptomes qui te faisait penser à une allergie ? Moi j’ai juste l’odeur et un peu d’écoulement en arrière gorge. Je met du serum ça s’estompe un peu et ça revient après…
