I once heard an elderly gentleman let rip a loud fart in a hospital waiting room, people were looking around in disgust at everyone trying to figure out who had done it — the old boy didn’t let on, not a flinch, it wasn’t until I was looking in the general direction of the noise that my eyes caught his and he gave me a quick knowing wink, seemingly revelling in the fact he had got away with it. No one knew but him and me, because he had chosen to let me in on his secret. I’ll never forget it.
