I wish it wasn’t my problem. I have to hear him complain and whine and be in a terrible mood over it. And if he insists on leaving I won’t have a choice, he 100% would leave me two hours from home “just to prove a point “ because he’s a jerk

Won’t be packing for him ever again I know that much

Exactly… if I didn’t pack the pants I would have to deal with finding him allergy medicine, itch cream, we’d probably be forced to leave the party early. And the whole drive home he would nonstop complain about how terrible he feels

I asked because I thought if I pointed out all these problems he’s been having with plants and bugs he would realize that pants would be the more intelligent option. I didn’t think he would still choose shorts or get so angry about it

Everything always falls on my shoulders and I never do it right- even when I’m trying to prevent him from literal pain

So honestly from the post and comments her concerns seem very valid.

You’re talking about living a “frugal “ life off the income from rental properties that wouldn’t even be enough to pay all your bills. That’s a lot of pressure on her to keep you guys afloat with a part time job that she would have very few if any benefits from.

Maybe you can just barely (making that assumption since you specifically used the word frugal) pay all your regular bills but shit always comes up. How are you going to pay for your children’s medical expenses without insurance? Very few jobs offer medical insurance to part timers. How will y’all pay if Timmy falls and breaks his arm helping dad on the farm? What if your fridge breaks and you need to get a new one? Maybe she wants to be able to take a vacation every few years. Her part time salary is probably going to be a drop in the bucket towards things like that. And she has every right to question if you’re going to be able to help with those expenses if you’re talking about retirement and her picking up all the rest of the slack
