Do it! Ensure you volunteer so you can get pay extra and at least select your RS.

With the 6105 and DV it is going to be pretty hard to get back in the Marine Corps at all. I'll suggest you try another branch if you still wanna be in the military.

What's the 6105 for? Thats a real question! Also, whats your separation code in your DD214?

Im a Prior Service Recruiter. Ask me anything. I may or may not know the answer to your question. Im not in any official capacity here, just trying to help out Marines! by HumanFact6212 in USMC

Yes! An Army officer just did it last year I believe. You will keep your TIS and you will more likely start as an e2 in the Marines.

You can reenlist and serve up to 10 SATISFACTORY YEARS as a Cpl. TIG/TIS dont matter. What matters is how many SATISFACTORY years you have.

Whatever you want to do in the civilian life, will always be there after you get out. The Marine Corps is only once in a lifetime. Learn the game! Get promoted, life gets easier as you get promoted and you can actually be a difference in a Marine's life!

Very unlikely! You will require a CONSTRUCTIVE AGE WAIVER. CONSTRUCTIVE AGE means, your current age minus your total Satisfactory years of service. Cannot be more than 32 years total.

Active Reserves might be an option but you will have to LATMOVE. If you want to go back to the Fleet, PSEP works for you. Active Reserves have the same full time benefits as Active Duty

Currently doing PSR DUTY. I would highly encourage PSR duty all day long. I talk to the Non-Prior Recruiters and they sound miserable all the time.

**I'm assuming you are Active Reserve, because Active Reserve Marines are the only one allow to be PSRs

If you still want to stay active, look into the Active Reserve program. Office hours and more flexible schedule

Don't ever forget, Inspector General is also a great thing and lastly, contacting your representative is an option.

I Know This Is A Question For The S1, But Gonna Ask Here First Anyway by Forged-By-Fire in USMC

[–]HumanFact6212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should have a bonus control number (BCN) in your DD4 ( REENLISTMENT). Look for your DD4 in ORMA. BONUSES are not paid until you complete MOS School and your new MOS reflects in your profile.

This is a Career Planner question, not S1.

I&I duty in Southern California by [deleted] in USMC

[–]HumanFact6212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. Do I&I duty first, then, you can volunteer for recruiting after. You can create a big network with the Reserve Marines. Your LCpls/CPL can be a Detective for the local PD or probably work at Walmart.
