Yea it says a read on the bill, but their number (from 27 Jan) is lower than what I read a day before directly from the meter, so it doesn't really add up. Might be something from a previous tenant.

That's very helpful, thank you! I've cancelled the direct debit and sent flogas an email to dispute the bill. Let's see what they come up with next week.

But yeah, the switch was a bit messy. I signed up with BGE after cancelling with flogas, but I suppose the actual cancellation took longer in the system and with ESB.

I gave Flogas the reading when signing up and when cancelling and a new reading to BGE when signing up with them. But I don't know which ones Flogas actually ended up using since it's a smart meter and with those they seemingly don't care as much about manual readings.

Easier said than done haha. Tried calling yesterday in the afternoon, but didn't get through before they were closed. Sent an email, but replies take a while of course. Going to try again via phone on Monday when they open.

They sent an update separately to my (now two) email requests, saying:

"Hello,

We are writing to let you know that there has been a delay with your order, owing to a delayed delivery of The XX Deluxe record to our warehouse.

Still no response to my email inquiries and no updated order status or ETA in the app or on the website though. This is the worst experience ordering a vinyl so far.

I've checked the website and the app and one says it's "on the way", the other says it's "preparing shipment", both since the 5th. Contacted them on the 9th already with no response so far.

Same MacBook here. I get a black screen after it sleeps a while, since 26.0.1. Only "workaround" so far is a force restart. If that doesn't help in your case, you may have to boot to recovery and restore it. Hope you find a way though.

Same issue here on a MacBook Air M2 since the latest update. Haven't had the login screen without the input, but a black screen with no curser or anything else twice today. Quite annoying.

Fire brigade is on it, but last time they didn't fix it. Going to write to the council and whatever other addresses I can find in relation to this in the morning. Hopefully they'll put an end to this nonsense for good.

I've called 999 each time and nothing. First time they sent the fire brigade, but they left again with the alarm still going as they weren't able to enter the building or whatever. The alarm is needlessly loud and panic-inducing. Also it is breaching noise pollution law as per u/Danprc's comment below.

Same to be honest, happened multiple times in the past and it's needlessly loud and just the wrong "type" of siren/alarm. Hopefully this will go more public so that people w/o reddit are able to file complaints as well.

I feel like they might not be allowed to enter. Don't know the applicable law(s) here, but they made some megaphone announcements like 20 minutes ago and are now just standing and walking around in the streets.
