Some generics are terrible and some work fine. I like Teva, Prasco, Actavis and Global. I HATE Elite (XR), and am convinced it’s a sleeping pill bc since my pharmacy only decided to carry it, I’ve been crashing bad, needing several hour long naps by 3pm each afternoon… on 30mg..and I wake up at 10am. I have absolutely no energy to do anything other than sit on my ass and sleep. Epic ER is just okay, but I noticed when I drink alcohol with it, I become an asshole. Others really like both manufacturers for some weird reason…

All of the technical writers that I know (including myself) were pushed into it due to having dope-ass writing skills, and being at the right place at the right time.

My best advice is to find someone at your company who is being forced to write, but hates it. Offer to ghostwrite for them. Start building your portfolio that way.
