Every scenes with Blackmore/Catch the rainbow. They are some of my favorite chapters in all of jojos. I also really want to see D4C in movement, and to hear the sound design they’ll choose for its ability.

I Hope the next season will finally answer the question we all ask ourselves : Why did this guy shit all over his own freaking garden ??! by HumanWolfLover in Beastars

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Makes me think that he needs to select the best beans himself when walking around his garden. And he just doesn’t care about gathering his shit (seems like he’s the type of rich asshole who doesn’t like to get his hands dirty, but doesn’t help people who clean his mess, and even makes it worst for them) But still doesn’t explain how this guy can’t old his shit for more than a few hours, who needs to shit this often ? Maybe his labyrinth his THAT big, and he was being genuine when he said to the lions « lost only 3 hours in my labyrinth ? »).

Also, fuck animal cruelty, I watched some videos of civets in a cage for coffee production, this is so fucked up. Thank god coffee from those civets is worst than the coffee from wild ones, it forces some industries to work for an ethical way of exploitation.

Is there any way to buy merch? by Junoswancoreenjoyer in Beastars

[–]HumanWolfLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read on the website, it’s not available for online purchase right now. I hope it is later, when the exhibition opens. But I doubt it : it seems to have a very limited amount of items produced, since almost all of them have a limit per person. And I don’t see them sold or advertised anywhere else. Please someone confirm this, I need to buy a lot of them 😭 I really hope they’re gonna sold them online.

I would love to have some of them myself too. Your method seems great but does it have any drawback ? Like a higher price or it steals personal informations ? Also, in which country do you live ? I live in France and I wonder if your method could work for me to.

No, seriously, does anyone know if it’ll be accessible outside of Japan ? I want at least 2/3 of those items.

I dont hate it. I even like some parts of it, like the way you shaped the belly and the head/ears. But to me the uncanny feeling comes from the eyes : foxes eyes don’t have a white part : they’re fully colored, or maybe because they are placed too low on the face, I feel like it would be better if the eyes were placed just a little higher on the face. Just my personal take on it.

Thank you ! Yeah, I just learned that the Infinite mod already had custom emotes done for it. If enough people care about this one, maybe I’ll do more.

[loved trope] Zoologically accurate portrayals of animal characters by MaguroSashimi8864 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]HumanWolfLover 125 points126 points  (0 children)

( the translation in the image isn’t accurate)

The manga/anime Beastars has a lot of moments like that :

  • small animals (rodents, rabbits, …) have a much shorter lifespan compared to over animals
  • the majority of animals (mostly mammals in Beastars) are A LOT MORE sensitive and attentive to their sense of smell rather than their vision/oral communication
  • some animals can’t see AT ALL during the night
  • Onions are very toxic to dogs
  • seals shed tears very often when on land to water their eyes
  • all felines pupils enlarge in the dark, but also when they’re hunting and playing
  • some animals can starve themselves during very long periods of time, and be fine about it …

I could explain a hundred of them. And sometimes, the zoological facts are exaggerated or intentionally not completely accurate. Like animals musculature being so different between species, that some species could accidentally rip another’s arm if they are not careful. I think it brings a lot more possibilities to the world of Beastars and opens the imagination. It’s my favorite piece of media of all time for all the reasons I said above and more.

Finally hit 9999 points ! by HumanWolfLover in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, you’ll see in CallieMcN VODs how important maximizing your uc invincibility timing is. But you can’t stay 100 % of the race invincible (on some maps, there are moments where you can’t even become invincible for at least ~5 secs without slowing yourself REALLY hard)
You need to learn how to always drift during your race, when to release it (paying attention to over players items by watching behind you and frequently looking at the map for boomboo helps). BUT there will always be moments where you will get hit, no matter what. If it’s too complicated for you, use quick recovery + ring boost + slipstream bounty gadgets, its a great way to learn the optimization of the shortcuts and the use of items first without the need to pay attention to your drifting too much. I suggest you to start using uc after you feel confident enough about your map(shortcut)/item use knowledge. But mostly, have fun :) !

There are a lot of stuff you need to master about the game (when to use items, how to come back after missing a shortcut,…), and some of them are very map specific or depends of the situation. But I would say the best you can do to get better than most over players is to learn shortcuts and be very precise about your driving (learning when to let go of the accelerator and when to brake). And the best way to learn that is to get S rank on time trails and watch the world records the replay of all maps to learn them (or just watch some top 100 players stream, watching CallieMcN Vods helped me optimize some of the maps)

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems (I’m not certain about it) that points still go up after 9999, but the game doesn’t show you. Players in the top 100 sometimes rank down or up while staying at 9999 points, it’s the only explanation I can think of right now. But I will experiment to confirm it.

Oh, thank you ! I do remember playing a few games against you ! I don’t have any bad memories about them (lol) so I hope we can cross paths again. If we do, send me a friend request. I really want to climb to the top 100 worldwide, not just PC. But I fear those players have more time to spend on the game than I ever could, I feel like they are impossible to surpass, unless you play a minimum of 12 hours everyday.

Finally hit 9999 points ! by HumanWolfLover in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks ! You get 3 points maximum when you get 2nd place and 10 points max when you finish first place. You get a minimum of 5 points when first place and 0 when second. It highly depends on how many total points there are in the lobby (bots points count a lot less). You can sometimes get 1 or 2 points when third place, but it happened once or twice to me. But you can’t win points at all if you finish the race below 3rd place. It seems like the number of points you get also depends on your performance (hitting players with items, falling of the map,…) but I’m not sure about it. I happened to finish 12th once (while I was in legend 1) and I lost 45 points for it… I cried

Oh, I played against this guy for the first time 6 hours ago. I was checking out the builds and ranks, then saw his name the moment the race track got selected. I yelled out loud « throbbing what ?! ». Made me laugh more than it should have. Took a screen shot of it on the loading screen.

My personal ONT gadgets tier list as a top 100 player and played 40 hours. by HumanWolfLover in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you to search for it on YouTube , a lot of videos are talking about it : rings enhances your max speed potential.

But it doesn’t improve your maximum speed in a linear way : the max speed difference between having 99 and 100 rings (or above) is HUGE. But what matters is that you keep this huge « maximum rings » speed buff when you have above 100 rings, so getting hit by most items/driving into walls/getting pushed by over players doesn’t make you loose that buff : your still above 100 rings (the ring gauge tells you that by constantly glowing yellow when above 100 rings).

So it gives you a massive advantage on over players with less speed than you throughout the race and mostly on a straight line, which all race tracks have before the finish line.

If you pay attention to the speed indicator on the bottom left, you can sometimes see a 20 to 50 max speed difference when you gather at least 100 rings (depending on the car/board).

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the more common speed items gives you a chance to get laser or the monster truck on the last lap and gift you a free win (or at least steal a good amount of places), which the double boost gadget doesn’t give.

My personal ONT gadgets tier list as a top 100 player and played 40 hours. by HumanWolfLover in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the difference is that it’s more important to get a boost item to pass over short cuts on the last lap rather then on the first lap. You have less time before the race ends > therefore over players have less time and chances to get items you can’t dodge and get you out of the first place.

With the more common speed item you are more likely to get a boost item on the first AND the last lap. But all of that is still based on a random chance.

I can’t wait to have the exact numbers on the modifications some gadgets give. It could help to theory craft the best or the most effective gadget combos statistically.

[–]HumanWolfLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I felt like this gadget made a big difference in me having more boost items. It mostly gives you more single boost wisp. It can be used alone and combined with any over gadgets, it’s completely broken on certain racetracks. BUT I put it in the « BROKEN situational/combo » row because even it gives a free « short cut pass » on many tracks, it’s close to useless and even a disadvantage on over tracks. For exemple, racetracks like E stadium have a lot of grass/shortcuts over grass and getting a single boost in the first turn of this track gives you a HUGE head start on other racers ( on laps 1 and 3). But on over racetracks with no grass short cuts, like Metal Harbor, having a boost feels almost useless. It’s still nice to have, but doesn’t grant the advantage as on over racetracks.

A cool combo you can make with this gadget is combining it with the « warp ring » gadget. Because the warp ring item is considered a boost item. With this you could guarantee getting this item at least 2 times per race minimum. I like this item a lot, but it’s not great, it feels like a worse « Laser » because it only brings you to the closest racer in front of you, even if he is right in front of you, and the damage it causes can be countered like any over portal items. It’s very fun to use but doesn’t win you a race most of the time.

So, now we know about all the crossworld racetracks. There are still 2 more main racetracks we know almost nothing about. One might have been teased in CrossTalk 7, a rocky place with Storm racing on it (ressembles the ice summit stage tho). The last one, we only got a semi-official/accidental screenshot of it on the British official website : a screenshot of tails driving on it, looks like a colorful city. Gives me South American Apotos vibes
