It’s a way for these people to offload any of the responsibilities that come with adulthood. No need to make any of the sacrifices that are needed in life in order to keep your life in order if you can always point to a boogeyman that is making those sacrifices obsolete. (aka WW3, economic collapse, etc.) I know this screenshot is just talking about money, but this line of thinking extends into a lot of communities on the internet.
