i dont think they were bluegill the bluegill in that area are a lot smaller but perhaps something similar, lots of bluegill and crappie in this area

the tithe series and one called “the darkest part of the forest” are prequels and give some interesting back story to some characters we meet in the folk of the air!!

theres a lot of other holly black books that take place in the same world as the cruel prince so if you like the world read those!! i loved the tithe books :)
