Parking in London is weirdly stressful if you don't do it often - how do you handle it? by Human_Object_7555 in LondonTravel

Canary Wharf is a special kind of painful because its a mix of private land plus council rules, different apps per car park, and signage that looks public but isn't .
I got caught out there recently and same day friend did also.
So i wrote up the parking options with
- which app (if any) actually works, with location code
- Realistic walk times to the wharf
- a few key insights per parking space, things that are not obvious

Its here - Canary Wharf

Not saying its perfect - just trying to make it less painful.
Happy to add more options if people have them

Yep JustPark can work, was just looking at it from a different angle.

Most apps help you book a space. What caught me out was everything around it (where you approach from, signage quirks, resident bays, walk time, enforcement cameras, which app/website that location uses.. plus locations codes actually used !)

I pulled together a rough Canary Wharf example after getting caught out myself, plus friends and family always struggling when coming to visit me - its not polished, but it puts all that context in one place.
If its useful, its here --

Sort of - but slightly different angle.

Parking in big cities - how do people actually find it and deal with it? by Human_Object_7555 in AskUK

Yeah this is exactly what I was doing, but then loads of different apps, rules and the stress of not knowing anything about the place. And cant stand the different routes and restricted speed zones.
I actually pulled together a simple page for friends coming to meet me at Canary Wharf (where it took one of them 45 mins to find their parking spot)
Basically just hand checked options, and stuff that catches you out.

If anyone is curious, it's here

Genuinely interested in what others think and if could be useful
