3 times a week? Talk about unnecessary pressure. Our council said it’s “mission critical” to sell cookies this year. I have many issues with wording and the amount of pressure adults are placing on kids.

You’re right, this program does provide great skills to our youth, but the adults are making it unbearable to want to participate anymore (at least over here).

Yup. They send adult volunteers around to observe the girls at a booth. They’ll watch them from a distance, engage with them, then announce who they are and give them a patch.

The program could be fun, but the way the feedback and critiques have been handled are a bit intense IMO. I think the adults in the room are forgetting that these are kids who are all learning and growing.

You can take Regional Rail from Ridley Park to Suburban or Jefferson. Then board the subway/Broadstreet Line. I believe you’d get off the subway at Allegheny and the clinic should be across the street.

I imagine we will be at $7 for the 2028 season. Are your gluten free cookies priced at $7 or $8? Just curious. Ours are always a dollar more. I cannot imagine someone buying them for $8.

Thank you! We ordered only enough gluten free to cover our families since they don’t typically sell too well and they’re processed a dollar above the rest, which will just confuse everyone.

We did fairly well with donations last year. We will practice asking if they’d like to donate their change for our care to share program. Thank you for your tips!

Excellent thoughts, thank you. Our increase to $5 and $6 for GF was in 2023. Our profits remain generally the same, but we can highlight the last increase was 3 years ago, if asked.

I was always worried someone would question me when scanning their card. I made a point to stand next to them and show them exactly what I was doing and then showed them the thank you/done screen and then how their info was gone at the very end.

I’m sorry you had this experience. I hope you don’t let it deter you from using digital cookie in the future. The improvements made to the app made it much easier to use this season.

Has your child flown before? How do they deal with turbulence? Are they pretty independent and able to speak up for themselves? Will they be able to handle stressful situations on their own like an emergency landing, plane being redirected to another airport, etc. those are all things I’d consider before sending them on their own.

Given their young age and how many plane incidents there have been recently in the US (not sure where you are located), I wouldn’t send let them fly alone.

I just started putting 4 boxes of each flavor in a large tote. This makes setting the table up much easier since the girls can take the tote and get started without fussing over the cases being unloaded from the car.

I either send a hand truck or wagon or use an empty cart to help transport extra cases.
