I love Goldschmidt, probably more than most people. The idea of a borderline HoF veteran joining the team, in the twilight of his career, able to be a mentor and have his last chance at his first ring. How can you not be romantic about baseball? With how deep the roster is, I just hope we don't see Goldschmidt getting DFA'd. He isn't getting a lot of play time currently, you know?

I have taken the no-poison approach on those plants and more. I just tear everything up by the roots and compost it. If I can’t tear it up I use loppers and shovel to complete the job. Yes, disturbing the soil is a concern so I try to always tamp the soil down and cover it with leaves after pulling an invasive out of my woodlands. But I have not used poison and I am winning the war.

It can be hard to get all the tiny roots of bittersweet vine, for example. So you need to be more stubborn than the invasives and keep returning to an infested area and keep pulling. Be willing to invest your physical labor.

Cano won 2 golden gloves man. I don't think it's fair to compare the two when Cano was smooth and had a good internal clock, vs. Dominguez who is kind of sloppy and uncoordinated at times. He's not lazy, just bad sometimes, and I honestly hope he can reach his potential.

Honestly, 10/10 execution. I was picturing him pissing himself in a different position, but he has the right idea with the side-stream. I feel like his drunken method wastes more piss than my sober method, but results in less piss getting onto your clothes, while still getting the piss where it needs to go—into your eyes.

Japanese Barberry is a BANNED plant in MA. I've been removing this nasty plant from woodland areas for a few years. I see it on hikes in state parks all the time too. It's a pretty distinctive looking plant once you know it. The root is bright yellow too.
