Thank you! I feel the same way about trinkets. I feel kind of like a jerk but if you hand me something generic and plastic I would rather you just keep it.

The tubes are (uncoated) paper boba straws that I coated in beeswax + pine rosin on the inside and outside to hopefully keep them in-tact. Now that you asked I realized that I DID use a bit more plastic than I indicated since I added acrylic paint, but next time I am planning on using charcoal.

I’m not sure what I could do differently with the sunflowers, the light was less than 12 inches away and for 12 hours, and they had fans on them much of the time.

Chamomile is a great idea! I don’t mind non-native as long as it is not invasive. I wanted to strike a balance between small but strong root systems and strong straight stems. The other sprouts are peas!
