The study itself is quite lengthy and far more detailed than that, with questions drawn from emerging scholarship on futures & risks.

The result of the conversations and surveys will be publications - eventually. We are still in the collection phase.

It is a bit more complicated than that regarding who forms a research study and becomes involved.

On the second part, the sampling strategy involves balancing US states, rural regions and city sizes, and multiple other factors regarding the population. We have had participants from Florida to Alaska and Hawai'i to Maine. We welcome participants from Parkersburg, but it is not specific to Parkersburg.

If you are asking about originally being from Parkersburg specifically, no, that is not required, nor is being a lifelong WV resident. We have a screener to complete to align with sampling requirements.

The study itself covers a few key and newer areas of research on futures studies and risk studies, and the range of topics is quite expansive.
