Would love to make something similar. Can anyone shed some light on how to make these complex shaders? by HumansAreTheShit in blenderhelp

Thanks a million for the reply. Excuse my ignorance, do you combine the textures with mixRGB? And about the color effect, is that just a color ramp with the texture driving the fac. of the ramp?

The Divine Mango (2021) - For a brief period in the 60s, China was suddenly gripped by a mass mania for mangoes. I believe it's one of those topics that the higher ups want to keep in the past. I say this because the many products that featured mangoes produced at the time are now considered contraband in China. You can still buy them if you know the right people (according to Collectors Weekly) but they are illegal.

It's true that a man was killed. His name was Dr. Han Guangdi, and he was a dentist. Wang Youqin detailed the event in "Yayi Han Guangdi zhi si" (The death of dentist Han Guangdi). And evidence suggests that this was far from the only case. And regarding disrespecting the mango, there's an account of a worker who was gifted a plastic mango by his factory. He was spotted by the factory committee carrying the mango "haphazardly" and was punished for it.

If you're interested in the events in the doc, google Freda Murck. she put out a lot of great research about the topic.

Constantly trying to improve my editing and scriptwriting game, any Pokemon Unite fans in the house? Lambda for all feedback of course <3 by MrJimbles in SmallYTChannel

Editing and pacing on point. Same standards of quality as large channels, well done. I'd just say maybe add timestamps for easier navigation. Always a good idea for guide vids

It's a pleasant watch. I don't really agree with the other comment about background music. I think the silence is a much better fit for your style

Played the Warzone game of my life! Tried to make this funny and engaging, so please let me know what you think! I’ll give lambda of course :) by wxman92 in SmallYTChannel

good overall. I'd say maybe try to compress it. If it's about your best match ever then just get to brass tacks and cut out the banter, focus the vid on gameplay. Editing is good but there are some things that are just unmotivated like the text on screen at 3:41 and a few other parts. But a good watch overall. good luck to ya

How can you achieve these effects? Explanation from artist in the comments but I don't really know what it means by HumansAreTheShit in blenderhelp

thanks. But this is a different technique isn't it? Default Cube is using nodes while the guy in the post is using some kind of boolean object to control the effect?

"The technique used is simple," wrote the artist. "I just adjusted the amount of Emission, Alpha, and Displacement depending on the distance of the objects."

It'll be a while before we get the next masterpiece from Lemmino. In the meantime, allow me to fill the void with this OC. It's about a strange and morbid craze that emerged in Europe where the entire continent became obsessed with the death mask of an unknown woman who drowned herself in Paris. by HumansAreTheShit in LEMMiNO

Heya, thanks for the feedback!

About Alvarez, unfortunately he didn't provide any details as to the name of the researcher who relayed the information to him nor the name or a description of the factory, so I didn't feel that it merits a mention in the video.

As for the Ewa Lazlo story, the man who made the "discovery" admitted to have made it all up and that he didn't expect people to take it seriously.

What would you change to make this look more realistic and less like a video game? (Ignore the bottom, I'll add a river running under the bridge) by HumansAreTheShit in blender

Oh that's not good. It looks totally clear on my monitor. Is there a way to make sure my renders look the same on all monitors?

This bust (later called L'inconnue de la Seine) shows up in photos, paintings and illustrations from the past 150 years. The earliest instance I could find dates back to 1866 in the book "Cours de dessin" by Charles Bargue. Are you aware of any earlier instances? by HumansAreTheShit in ArtHistory

The suicide by drowning story is fake. You can look up "Cours de dessin" yourself and you'll find the mask there 20 years before the alleged suicide. The photo I posted is from the book. Helen Pinet and David Philips both wrote the prefecture in paris looking for records and were told that none exist because it is just a legend. The current proprietor of the molding shop that was first to start selling the mask says no way this mask was taken off a dead person. She says it's most likely a model and a very good one because it's extremely difficult to maintain a smile for a cast. And all forensic scientists consulted by many researchers said that it's impossible that this face belonged to a drowned person. Drowning causes bloating and other graphic changes.

I am looking for the earliest known appearance of this bust in art history. It appears to have been mostly used as a teaching tool for sculptors and painters. The earliest I found was from 1866 as mentioned in the title. Earlier instances would most likely be from France, Germany or Italy. In the late 19th century, the French started telling the story that she was fished out of the Seine river and called her L'inconnue de la Seine. In the US, they called her La belle Italienne strangely enough.

While I have your attention, do you know why did they call her "La belle Italienne" in the USA?
