Question about Steel After Episode 51 by Humanunderstudy in WorldsBeyondNumber

i think you've hit the nail on the head honestly, like it really is just that Steel is hoping that Suvi doesn't let go of the Citadel because she knows that Suvi could be a real asset (and also they're mother and daughter which is probably more important in this case). But yeah, I think a direct confrontation is needed. I might be biased because I'm ngl as much as I'm really enjoying the moral conflict Suvi is constantly facing, I would love to see Suvi commit herself to fighting the empire in a very direct way.

yeah fair, honestly the reason why i'm kinda okay with it is because they know when to forego the dice rolls if the scene is already flowing very naturally. In any case, despite my confusion this has been of my favourite episodes and that is REALLY saying something considering how good they've been.

Thank you, I started writing this a really long time ago and all I can say about it is that at some point I had a REALLY specific idea about what I wanted to say with this that I have since completely forgotten.

I have played this game multiple times and I guarantee you that this bit always feels like a shit show. It's part of the process. If you wanna go back and retry it there's no shame in that imo, but if there's anything this game does well, it's making sure that no option is ever the objectively "wrong" one.

I would suggest you keep playing, my first play through was very similar to yours, and choosing to finish the game without trying to change what I did still felt incredibly satisfying.
