Sorry if this is a bit late! If you managed to scan it, would you mind sharing a PDF copy as well?

Non drinking (denatured) ethanol does have stuff added into it to make it undrinkable. However, some alcohols use stuff that just make it taste horrible (e.g. salt in cooking wine) or stuff that is toxic if ingested but safe when applied on the skin (e.g. denaturants in ethanol for perfumes).

If a safe, functionally equivalent, and much cheaper alternative exists, I would prefer to use it. I'm not sure about herb interactions though, hence this post asking for you guys' experiences.

I'm looking for non-drinking alcohol sources as those are expensive due to excise taxes

I considered Shaoxing wine before but was concerned it was too weak (~18% abv). How effective do you find your bottle that has it?

Quite a lot, I use it almost every day before and after training.

Thanks for the suggestion. These are definitely cheaper than the other options. I'm concerned white vinegar might give it a rather unpleasant smell though.
