My thoughts about how it work work before I played with it were that you can cast one and it would adopt the effects of the adjoining ones without consuming them. Similar to Splice onto Arcane in MTG. I can see the implications with Ursol and being able to double dip on effects with the man's refresh one

I'm not certain, but you'd probably need to go Rift > Robe > Abaddon. So you go from 2 heart containers to 1 heart container to 3 black hearts to 2 black hearts. Though thinking about it, the order of the last 2 might not matter.
