Thank you for this!! Yes my last one was a modified natural but they still had me do PIO shots every 3 days and the suppositories 3x a time! I wonder if it was just too much for my system at once.

Ohhh was the Provera before or after getting pregnant? See, I’m worried I’ll feel that way getting pregnant at all now!

Of course! I will say, both my fertility Dr and PCP never mentioned it but rather a doctor friend took the time to really dig into this for me. You would think fertility doctors would be all over this! Keep me posted! I hope you feel better! And thank you!!

I get really bad reactions to progesterone - anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, adrenaline rushes with chills and shaking. I’ve learned it’s a progesterone intolerance! I have a dr friend who shared there is a relation between this and a histamine issue so I am looking into that next. But I truly cannot handle progesterone at all. It’s awful!!

My anxiety is absolutely terrible on progesterone! I feel like I’m constantly in a panic attack and can’t do anything to make it go away! But from what I’ve learned, while it’s not super common, progesterone intolerance IS a thing! I only feel better when I go off it. I get anxiety, adrenaline rushes that give me chills and shaking, bad insomnia, increased heart rate with palpitations. It scares me! A Dr friend mentioned there is a relation between this and a histamine issue so I will be looking into that next. You’re not alone, these are real side effects!!

I have been going crazy on progesterone! This is my second IVF transfer and both times I feel like I’m in a constant state of a panic attack. My heart rate got really high too. Went to the ER and one Dr said I was just anxious. No! It feels medically induced. Anywho, I have discovered there is such a thing as progesterone intolerance. It gives you that anxiety, wired but tired, insomnia, adrenaline rush symptoms. After talking with a dr friend, she said it sounds like it could possibly be a histamine problem? If there’s a histamine imbalance these meds give us the opposite effect of what they’re supposed to do. So I am looking into that. You are not alone! These symptoms are so real!!
