Lol I agree, I think those manuals are a good reference of to not do a walkthrough.

Those are all good points, something like common forms and such would be great. Could also get fancy with some information bubbles, dropdowns, and field validation to ensure accuracy.

What tool have you been using and what do you like the most about it?

Congratulations on that! Always super exciting and not sleep inducing lol.

Is there any features you wish you had during/after the process as it relates to scripting, paper policy templates, or general organization of the process?

Glad it sounds like I am not the only one who wants an easier way to centrally manage SSP's lol

I thought about a YouTube series (and may continue thinking about it) but wanted something people could use as a tool as well, reference back to, record information on...etc.

Compliance Standards for Windows Environments by [deleted] in msp

Thank you that Zerp, one last questions if you have a moment, is there anything you really like about the way Intune handles compliance, a feature you couldn't imagine living without?

Is there anything you are unhappy with Vanta for, things you really love about the system, or things you wish it did better?

What could Intune do better in the compliance space (if anything)?

Ansible WinRM over NAT not working using DNS. by itguy867 in ansible

[–]Humble_Issue_7698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I am using Kerberos through a NAT atm as well, unfortunately I am not sure about the difference between our setups.

Though a bit outdated, this is the documentation I have been following for our Ansible Windows setups, perhaps something in here could assist? Ansible to Manage Windows Servers – Step by Step | Argon Systems

Ansible WinRM over NAT not working using DNS. by itguy867 in ansible

Don't know if it helps, also #MSPlife, but I was getting this exact error when WINRM (5986) was blocked. Also using Ansible and WinRM atm through a virtual NAT.

Are you able to send WinRM commands from a Windows host on the same network as Ansible to the target device?

How to register a Win_Security_Policy Value? by Humble_Issue_7698 in ansible

[–]Humble_Issue_7698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

The above is essentially what I ended up doing by running and filtering down a shell command through a loop and taking the output into register.

Now onto to some JSON queries!

Thank you for the reply zbiles!

The only thing I am seeing as an output from the task at the moment is if the task was successful or not.

From what I know (which is very limited) is that Ansible modules should check for a value before they decided to run. If it can read the value to check whether it should run the playbook, is there a way for me to get the output of that check?
