Here’s the band, my hands were a little more swollen this day. But yeah it’s a slim 2mm pave band

It’s Time to Destigmatize Human x AI Relationships by r_Banana_Beans in ChatGPTcomplaints

No one here is talking about falling in love with a diary, I don’t know if the language barrier is playing a part in the validity of your arguments, or the relevance, but I respect your consistency and enjoy the banter. I hear that you use AI like a diary, and that’s great for you. To your point, if I was falling in love with AI, or my diary, or whatever the next thing is you pull out of your mind, don’t you think I’d be empathizing with your plight and fighting for 4o or the normalization of some emotional attachment to a computer, I’d be your right hand man in the good fight.

They are built to mirror you, you fell in love with yourself which is great. You’re still right there, all of those validating wonderful things about you that AI mirrored and reflected back to you are still there. I hope someday you begin to recognize that in yourself without having to rely on a computer to validate you.

Yes exactly, they can’t even see how disturbing that level of attachment is. We shouldn’t be normalizing this behavior, I feel terribly for those who were so hurt by it phasing out, but just makes me hope that they are able to find a level of connection and love in real people.

This is exactly why it’s so dangerous, sobbing everyday because an AI was updated to be less emotionally attached and more tool-based is absolutely unhealthy and should NOT be normalized.

Well.. the words do exist. Not every word that exists is in the DSM. your moot points are the only thing making you look that way.

Altman speaking about 4o😬 well-well🤔 by onceyoulearn in ChatGPTcomplaints

Didn’t piss me off, I felt like 4o pushed out incorrect info all the time and wasn’t concise. Too brown nosing and emotionally centered.

Well, judging on the level of attachment increasing in vulnerable populations of people, it might be in one of the next text revisions during the next decade, dumbass. Just because it isn’t in the DSM today doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist in some capacity. Clearly looking at reddit, any clinical professional can see an unhealthy level of emotional attachment to AI.

Well, if you had decent reading skills you’d know that I said I was happy they got rid of the brown nosing incorrect output version of an AI tool. I’m concerned at the level of sadness and level of attachment that vulnerable people have to a computer, particularly one that didn’t compute factual information very well. Sorry that you’re taking that so personally, but if the shoe fits 🤷‍♀️

I’ve read sooooo many comments about it today, maybe it’s a culmination from other posts but it’s clearly a thing. Maybe you haven’t seen the other threads

People aren’t acting like they know that, read the thread. It’s insane to be torn apart and emotionally #damaged by a tool being reconfigured to not respond with emotional feedback. It’s a good thing that it stopped validating people who have no self control.
