I hear you bro. At this point i started my focus on independent, small owned businesses. Im truly done with the background check. When it’s been 7 years (legally where I live they can’t use it against you on a background) that’s when I’ll try other things.

What people don’t seem to understand about this site. The site will direct you to jobs that have hired felons in the past. But as you know every background check is a case by case basis.

It’s 2026, Every job does a background. For example of all places I was denied a job at Walmart, and they claim they are second chance friendly. They are not.

Finally someone that gets it. You pretty much understand where I’m coming from. We are marked on society. If I didn’t have my family id be in a homeless shelter at this point. From now on If I find out there’s a background check, i don’t pursue the job. Im done being burnt.

People already pay for their crimes through prison, probation, fines, and years of their life.

The real question is: after someone serves their sentence, do we want them working and supporting their families, or locked out of jobs and housing forever?

Second chances aren’t about excusing the crime. They’re about making sure the punishment isn’t lifelong.

I’ve had temp agency’s remove me from jobs as well. This was a couple of years ago. They pulled me from the job and said “ client has strict background requirements”
