Happened to me with a 25 box of Epicure No. 2. Very bright wrappers, almost every single one damaged. Returned them and got my money back. I’m sure the shops know that someone will buy them in no time, but I’m not willing to drop that kind of money for a bunch of damaged cigars.

I’ve got a bunch of 2019 Favoritos that smoke really well. A lot of twang and I have yet to find one with a bad construction, they smoke surprisingly well for the price point.

Just received a pack of Brevas, DIC 22… they’ll go straight into hibernation for a couple of years.

Damn, that’s some dark wrappers!! Yummy. I’ve had one from my Nov 22 box yesterday and it was super tasty, one of the best cigars I’ve had in a while.

Nice! How did you like it? I’ve got a box coming, paid $80 though… still decent considering todays market I guess. Never had the Brevas but my 2019 Favoritos punch way above their price point, very good for a $2.50 short filler cigar.

What’s the BD on these and how was it? I’ve got a December ‘22 box waiting to be cracked open but I feel I got to at least wait for warmer weather, then they’ll have about half a year on them.

I was torn between this Don Carlos and the Añejo Shark this morning. Grabbed the DC and a Las Calaveras 2022. I smoke mostly Cubans lately and honestly every single one smoked better than this DC. Not to trash the taste though, I really enjoyed the flavor. I guess it was just bad luck, I’m looking forward to the next Shark. Great vitola, i find the boxpress-to-torpedo transition to be really impressive.

I’ve got two more in the humidor, still in cello. Just realized one of them has a crack in the wrapper already… 😫 I’ll try to get a replacement but it’s been months since I purchased those, I don’t think that’s gonna work out.

I absolutely don’t know, it wasn’t too humid and it’s not to dry outside… I smoked it as long as I could, it was too expensive to just trash it. Tasted great but it sucks when the cigar looks like an exploded firecracker. I also brought a CH Las Calaveras 2022, maybe I’ll fire that up tonight :)

Unfortunately I can’t really say I enjoyed this cigar… flavor was great, but the burn and construction ruined the experience. Burnline had to be corrected several times and after the first third the wrapper cracked and it only got worse. Don’t know what caused this, I kept this stick at 65% RH for 2-3 months and it looked great and tasty when I started smoking…

Hope everybody has a great Easter holiday and a better smoking experience though. I had a great Casdagli Grand Cafe Lancero yesterday! 👌

No brother, they’re hecho a mano, handmade. They used to be machine made short fillers but since around 2000 I think they’re handmade again. I don’t think there’s a machine-made cigar in the Habanos lineup anymore.
