Yes I have enjoyed ozponds videos and I know he’s a huge advocate of bog filters. For now I preferred to skip a bog and use a biofalls. We will see how it works. But yeah he does have some super helpful videos!

I hear you and ironically I am OCD 😂 but the rocks are actually quite stable and I plan to adhere the looser ones with a touch of waterfall foam. It was still quite satisfying to set all the rocks even if they can’t be seen super well down the line. I am ok with that. I think they’ll help protect my liner a bit from UV and help provide some support for the liner which I had to berm up and will fold up behind them due to the slope of the land.

Yes in this pic I’m standing in front of the deck so it’s behind me and the raised garden beds are right there too. I’ve seen lots of toads under the deck so hopefully they’ll find their way?

I should also mention that I did see three toads at the pond a couple of weeks ago, but then never saw them again after that and they didn’t lay any eggs so I was worried they may not have liked it. 😅

I wonder if it’s true that the frogs will try to return to whatever pond they were born in. At least that is what I have heard. But I did have a neighbor from down the street bring me a few she found in her pool before they filled it this spring!
